Dear President Obama:

I write today as a proud American and a proud Jew.

Jews around the world are concerned today. We are concerned about the nuclear ambitions of an Iranian regime that brags about its genocidal intentions against Israel. We are concerned that the Jewish state is being isolated and delegitimized.

Mr. President, we are concerned about the dramatic deterioration of diplomatic relations between the United States and Israel.

The Israeli housing bureaucracy made a poorly timed announcement and your Administration branded it an insult. This diplomatic faux pas was over the fourth stage of a seven stage planning permission process a plan to build homes years from now in a Jewish area of Jerusalem that under any peace agreement would remain an integral part of Israel.

Our concern grows to alarm as we consider some disturbing questions. Why does the thrust of this Administrations Middle East rhetoric seem to blame Israel for the lack of movement on peace talks? After all, it is the Palestinians, not Israel, who refuse to negotiate.

Israel has made unprecedented concessions. It has enacted the most far reaching West Bank settlement moratorium in Israeli history.

Israel has publicly declared support for a two-state solution. Conversely, many Palestinians continue their refusal to even acknowledge Israels right to exist.

The conflicts root cause has always been the Palestinian refusal to accept Israel as the nation state of the Jewish people. Every American President who has tried to broker a peace agreement has collided with that Palestinian intransigence, sooner or later. Recall President Clintons anguish when his peace proposals were bluntly rejected by the Palestinians in 2000. Settlements were not the key issue then.

They are not the key issue now.

Another important question is this: what is the Administrations position on Israels borders in any final status agreement? Ambiguity on this matter has provoked a wave of rumors and anxiety. Can it be true that America is no longer committed to a final status agreement that provides defensible borders for Israel? Is a new course being charted that would leave Israel with the indefensible borders that invited invasion prior to 1967?

There are significant moves from the Palestinian side to use those indefensible borders as the basis for a future unilateral declaration of independence. How would the United States respond to such a reckless course of action?

And what are Americas strategic ambitions in the broader Middle East? The Administrations desire to improve relations with the Muslim world is well known. But is friction with Israel part of this new strategy? Is it assumed worsening relations with Israel can improve relations with Muslims? History is clear on the matter: appeasement does not work. It can achieve the opposite of what is intended.

And what about the most dangerous player in the region? Shouldnt the United States remain focused on the single biggest threat that confronts the world today? That threat is a nuclear armed Iran. Israel is not only Americas closest ally in the Middle East, it is the one most committed to this Administrations declared aim of ensuring Iran does not get nuclear weapons.

Mr. President, we embrace your sincerity in your quest to seek a lasting peace. But we urge you to take into consideration the concerns expressed above. Our great country and the tiny State of Israel have long shared the core values of freedom and democracy. It is a bond much treasured by the Jewish people. In that spirit I submit, most respectfully, that it is time to end our public feud with Israel and to confront the real challenges that we face together.

The irony of this article appearing in the English edition of Pravda (Russian on-line newspaper) in April 2009 defies description. Why can a Russian newspaper print the following yet the American media can't/won't see it?

It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American descent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.

True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists.

Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.

First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas than the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their "right" to choke down a McDonalds burger or a Burger King burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our "democracy". Pride blind the foolish.

Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different "branches and denominations" were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more then happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the "winning" side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the "winning" side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America.

The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America's short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Weimar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.

These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, losses, and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more then ordinary street thugs, in comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the shear volumes. Should we congratulate them?

These men, of course, are not an elected panel but made up of appointees picked from the very financial oligarchs and their henchmen who are now gorging themselves on trillions of American dollars, in one bailout after another. They are also usurping the rights, duties, and powers of the American congress (parliament). Again, congress has put up little more than a whimper to their masters.

Then came Barack Obama's command that GM's (General Motors) president step down from leadership of his company. That is correct, dear reader, in the land of "pure" free markets, the American president now has the power, the self-given power, to fire CEOs and we can assume other employees of private companies, at will. Come hither, go dither, the centurion commands his minions.

So it should be no surprise that the American president has followed this up with a "bold" move of declaring that he and another group of unelected, chosen stooges will now redesign the entire automotive industry and will even be the guarantee of automobile policies. I am sure that if given the chance, they would happily try and redesign it for the whole of the world, too. Prime Minister Putin, less then two months ago, warned Obama and UK's Blair, not to follow the path to Marxism, it only leads to disaster. Apparently, even though we suffered 70 years of this Western sponsored horror show, we know nothing, as foolish, drunken Russians, and so let our "wise" Anglo-Saxon fools find out the folly of their own pride.

Again, the American public has taken this with barely a whimper...but a "free man" whimper.

So, should it be any surprise to discover that the Democratically controlled Congress of America is working on passing a new regulation that would give the American Treasury department the power to set "fair" maximum salaries, evaluate performance, and control how private companies give out pay raises and bonuses? Senator Barney Frank, a social pervert basking in his homosexuality (of course, amongst the modern, enlightened American societal norm, as well as that of the general West, homosexuality is not only not a looked down upon life choice, but is often praised as a virtue) and his Marxist enlightenment, has led this effort. He stresses that this only affects companies that receive government monies, but it is retroactive and taken to a logical extreme, this would include any company or industry that has ever received a tax break or incentive.

The Russian owners of American companies and industries should look thoughtfully at this and the option of closing their facilities down and fleeing the land of the Red as fast as possible. In other words, divest while there is still value left.

The proud American will go down into his slavery without a fight, beating his chest, and proclaiming to the world, how free he really is. The world will only snicker

This Letter was recieved in early November 2009, it was very powerful and caused a lot of email and reposts on different websites.

One of the purposes of Point On Point is to encourage the general public to share their opinions about different issues we find important, and then allow dialogue to find possible solutions. We receive a lot of email and comments daily. One such email came from a man who called himself William entitles An Open Letter To President Obama signed A Real American. It was honest, and thoughtful, it wasnt nasty, it was just questions that a lot of Americans have been asking We here at Point On Point agreed that we were feeling pretty much the same way, and decided to put it on the table for discussion.

Below we have posted the letter in full, unedited, so you may read what we did. Point On Point believes it is our Patriotic duty as Americans to ask questions of our Government, after all it is our Constitutional right.

Dear President Obama,
When you were elected as a beacon of hope and change, you brought with you a Democratic Senate that should have made it relatively easy for you to accomplish the things you wanted to do. But here we are nearly a year into your presidency and you've accomplished virtually nothing. Even your Health Care Reform which should have been ready when you took office is still in the dicing stages and its going to cost billions, not mention taking away our freedoms. We have a war in Afghanistan that we need to finish or pull out of, but for God's sake lets not just leave our troops there without backup! Nothing has been done on the Equality front, lots of promises were made, but here we still sit. Oh, and then there's that transparency issue. I mean really, if you didnt mean it, why say it? I'm beginning to think that maybe you really do have an agenda that you don't want the rest of us to know about, you wouldn't be the first Commander and Chief that did. Let's face it; there has always been an air of conspiracy swirling around you, why make it worse.

And another thing, sure the Bush/Cheney administration did a lot of questionable things, we all know that, but please let it go, what's done is done, you're in charge now, and you have the ability to fix what you perceived was wrong, so just do it. Nothing is gained by continuously going backwards. I am so sick of hearing we inherited the problem, well I have a News Bulletin for you, every administration inherits something negative, so get over it and get on with it.

Stop trying to rewrite our constitution, or should I say reinterpreting it, it's fine, it works very well, and it's not up for debate. Leave Fox News alone, theyre doing their job, someone has to speak out and question some of these practices, and no one is being forced to sit in front of a TV and watch them, but doesnt it make you wonder why so many do?

PLEASE stop apologizing for The United States, we have nothing to apologize for, we dont want to be Europe, were proud of who we are and what we stand for.

And one last thing, we are not a community; we are a nation, stop trying to organize us. We can organize ourselves when its necessary. We come together when the need is there, and we take care of each other. Our country doesnt need to be transformed; we'll evolve naturally, at our own pace thank you.

I know you campaigned on Change, but change for the sake of change is not always wise. Just do your job, leave my freedoms alone, listen to the real voices of America, and keep us safe. Thats what we need from you.

YOUR VOTE, YOUR LOUDEST VOICE

A people unified in voice and action to bring about change is our only hope in these trying times. But our VOICE must be heard. We must not be a passing fancy, but those in Washington must realize that we will not go away. We will not be silenced and we will not follow quiet and docile while our "shepherds" force us to walk their pathway to destruction. Our voice and our vote are our most powerful weapons against the savage onslaught being aimed at the most basic rights guaranteed by the US Constitution. O yes I wonder how many people in Washington...that we voted for...have even read the whole CONSTITUTION.

Yesterday I read again the Gettysburg Address, the Preamble to the Constitution and for the first time the entire Constitution. Does anyone even know what it says? If you don't then you'll never realise as bit by bit the essence and foundations of a free America are quietly and slowly being eroded away.

I say attand the rallys, speak up whenever possible but ...WE MUST MAKE A POWERFUL FRONTAL ASSAULT AGAINST THIS LEPROSY SPREADING IN AMERICA. AND WE MUST MAKE IT ON EVERY SINGLE ELECTION DAY.FROM NOW TIL 2012. We will not be silenced, we will not go away and WE will BE HEARD. Your vote is your loudest voice ...use it !!
